Fun in the Desert
Malkah and I needed some time off so we headed to the desert. Mitzpeh Ramon sits on the Machtesh Ramon Crater - an awesome geological marvel.
While there, we checked out the local attractions, including the Alpaca Farm
Then we went on to do some desert archery - Malkah was very good!!
Archery is fun and helps with concentration
The Avdat Canyon is close by:
Nice to see you!
A little spirituality from Yishai never hurts:
Life in Israel can be tense, and that is why a bit of a vacation is in order. The emptiness of the desert allows one to defrag a bit, and reconnect with the spirit. Oh yeah, great shuls in Mitzpeh Ramon, salt of the Earth type people - I loved it.
Mitzpeh Ramon - small town with a big heart!

Mitzpe has the most amazing little chocolate cafe in the "industrial park" area there. Talk about making the desert bloom!

Thanks, guys. Well, the drama of the llamas was very intense. I'm proud of you, Malkah, for standing up for the little guy. And Yishai, I appreciated your minitour of Mitzpeh Ramon. I'd love to see the night sky there. But ya know, I had some grueling personal spiritual growth on the plaza right above the Kotel during a blackout; maybe the common denominator is the night sky. Anyway, thanks to you both. And glad you had some vacaish.
