I'd like to bet you serious money that you are wrong. Obama is taking it.

    Anonymous,

If so, sell your house now and make Aliyah before all house prices drop even more!

As a Filipinit-American, I am personally insulted by a candidate with close ties to Ha'Filiipinim's prime enemy in the South-Eastern region: Mooslim-dominated Indonesia.

If McCain had a different opponent, he wouldn't be pandering the way he is and making awful, corny speeches.

Either way, anarchy in the streets of the Land of the Pharaoh-Babylon will ensue.

If Obamanation is elected, I, for one, will be inundating Shamayim with prayers for a righteous tsunami to hit the blue states of Amerikkka.

And one wonders why Ha'Filipinim was spared the devastation all around them circa 2004's tsunami.

I think your right about McCain winning. Civil unrest, not so much. I think news people like to put that out there because it would be great for the media! The tide is turning here. The bros know that if Obama's not crazy, his crazy friends, white and black, sure are! I was on I-12 this weekend and saw a beautiful Cadillac with 'Country First" boldly written on the rear window. I wanted to see the driver, and guess what? He was a Bro! Yep, he made his money and I don't think he wants Obama to spread his wealth!! LOL! judith

This anonymous guy has already made aliyah. If I did have a house it would be impossible to sell because banks aren't giving loans. And I still say Obama is taking the election and I would bet the house that I don't have on it.

Eliyahu is pretty a masculine name for a filipinit. Maybe a filipini?

After hearing what Sarkozy said about Obama's "childish" views on Iran, I hope to G-d the Americans don't do this to us.

jj, I think bets are frowned upon by Judaism plus I am a no-money Jew but we could say that loser pays NIS 100 to Yishai's synagogue.

jj wants money. I asked God and he said it was OK. You just can't wear a kippah while you make the bet.

    JJ - correction:

WINNER pays NIS 100 to Yishai's synagogue. After all it is a zechut, you will agree with me, no?

    Nu sheyn, I thought so.

    jj,

You would see money in all of this. I'm sick of the kike element in our nation, frankly. You sell out your brothers out of sheer cowardly avarice.

Gil, What are you talking about? I don't get it? How am I selling out my brothers? I don't want Obama to win. I just look reality square in the eye and I know that he's going to win. The polls in America aren't like the polls in Israel. McCain is losing.

Face it, it's not Judaism or abhorrence to greed that's keeping you from making the bet. You just don't want to lose 1000nis. Be a man, make the bet. The Torah said nothing about gambling. The Talmud questioned it and regarded gambling a legal transaction. I promise, when I take your 1000nis I will give ten percent to the charity of my choosing. And if you win and you won't win, you can donate my full 1000nis to any charity you wish.

OK I take back the kike thing, it was meant for that turd who wrote the op-ed in jpost on how we should agree to be nuked because "green trumps black."

NIS 1000 is a lot of money for me. I am willing to do this: give NIS 500 to Yishai's shul if Obama wins.

Alright, I'll compromise. loser gives 500nis to yadsarah.org. And since I'm doing the compromises here, if I win you have to write a blog on Kumah.org with the title "Gil Ronen is wrong and Justice Jew is right" You can write the blog your way with any picture you choose. It just has to have this title.

    OK OK.

But if I lose and the guy is impeached within a year's time you have to undergo the same humiliation.

Gil Ronen: Thanks for the transliteration correction. I suppose I'm still shaking off the Filipino Pharaoh off me (in Tagalog, there is a distinction between masculine and feminine in every word, which makes for confusion, oy vey).

btw, my good friend from TN is a "Ronin", descendant from the great Rabbi Salevechik (sp?) of Ukraine with family in Tel Aviv... Any relation? He gets a kick out of the Samurai reference=) Am Yisroel HAI!

Eliyahu, I donno about Ronin, I've only encountered that spelling in the Irish version of the name. Ronen is not a "Jewish" name but an Israeli one. It is very popular in Yidland both as a first and last name. It comes from the root R-N-N which refers to singing (Rina is from the same root).

In the case of my family, my father was a Rogozhinsky and my mother was a Cohen and they "artistically" combined those two into Ronen. That kind of creative spirit was part of the zionist ethos at the time, and Ben Gurion (formerly Grin) encouraged people to Hebraize their names.
